Svenska Dagbladet’s podcast department clinched the title of Editorial Team of the Year, while their documentary series Dynasty took home the prize for Best Audio Journalism. Aftonbladet’s personalized content was named Innovation of the Year, with their food section Godare winning the Ad Deal of the Year.
Siv Juvik Tveitnes beamed with pride as she participated in the ceremony, emphasizing that it was a remarkable evening for journalism.
“There’s a wealth of excellent journalism and exciting ventures happening in both business and innovation. The competition for Newspaper of the Year was fierce, but our clear demonstration of being at the forefront of this work fills me with pride and excitement. I eagerly anticipate further development in journalism and business with our outstanding colleagues at Schibsted Media,” said Siv Juvik Tveitnes.
A total of nine awards were presented, with four going to Schibsted’s media houses, Aftonbladet and Svenska Dagbladet.
Audio Journalism Excellence
Schibsted clinched their first prize of the evening in the Audio Journalism Excellence category. Svenska Dagbladet secured the prize for their documentary series Dynasty:
“Their groundbreaking audio storytelling sets a new standard for the industry, leading the way for more immersive podcast series. It captivates a modern audience and opens new revenue streams, all while telling a gripping story about a business dynasty that changed Sweden.”
Advertising business of the year
Next up was the team behind Aftonbladet’s food venture, Godare, receiving the award for Advertising business of the year.
“Their thoughtful approach utilizing multiple channels cohesively creates vast opportunities. Their focus on high-quality content paired with seamless functionality makes them irresistible to viewers, readers and advertisers alike.”
Innovation of the year
When the Innovation of the Year was announced, Aftonbladet took the spotlight once more:

Editorial Team Excellence
The Editorial Team Excellence award is one of the most prestigious of the evening. The winner, Svenska Dagbladet’s podcast team, earned high praise:

In addition to their four wins, media houses and employees were nominated in three additional categories. Aftonbladet’s investigative editor Jonathan Jeppsson and Svenska Dagbladet’s Blenda editor Adam Svanell were nominated for Media Leader of the Year, SvD’s Dynasty for Reader Relationship of the Year, and Aftonbladet for the Overall Prize.
