Lendo Group acquires Danish bank platform Mybanker

Lendo Group thereby strengthens its position in the Nordic market and broadens its offering within mortgage comparison.

Mybanker has more than twenty years of experience helping Danes compare bank and mortgage offerings through an easy online service. With its new owner, Mybanker will be able to further leverage its strong brand to help even more people make informed financial decisions.

Schibsted-owned Lendo is a Nordic leading comparison service for loans helping thousands of consumers each day to compare loan offers with presence in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Spain and Portugal. With the acquisition of Mybanker, Lendo takes on a strengthened position in Denmark, and a broader offering of financial services within the Nordic and European markets.

With its new owners, Mybanker will get more resources and can leverage Lendo’s capabilities within marketing and product development to further strengthen its position as an authority on the Danish banking and mortgage market.

Mybanker will continue to operate as a separate platform and brand in collaboration with Lendo and with shared operational resources. Mybanker joins Lendo’s ambitious journey to become a leading comparison service for financial products in Europe. Recently, Lendo started to offer comparisons of mortgages in Norway, Portugal and Sweden via the Swedish comparison site Compricer.

Pleased to welcome Mybanker

Roar Bjaerum, CEO of Lendo Group comments on the acquisition of Mybanker:

“We are pleased to welcome Mybanker, a popular service and brand in Denmark, to Lendo Group. Lendo Group is on an ambitious expansion journey both expanding to new markets and developing new products. The acquisition enables both Lendo and Mybanker to innovate and develop the consumer experience of comparing and receiving transparent information about loans that will empower them in their financial decision-making. It also strengthens the distinctive position of Lendo as a leading fintech service that strives to drive innovation in the financial markets of the Nordic and in Europe.”

Lendo started in Sweden back in 2007 and has in recent years invested heavily in expanding to other Nordic and European countries. Today Lendo is the leading comparison service for consumer loans in the Nordic region, and the service also includes comparisons of mortgages, business loans, car loans and credit cards.
