From 21-22 September Schibsted’s global Product & Tech community will meet in Barcelona for a 48-hour festival of forward thinking. 1,400 Schibsted Product & Tech members will gather together as one organisation for the REBOOT!
Representatives from all across the Schibsted family will join to celebrate everything great about Schibsted. Internal speakers will share case studies, swap stories, reveal insights and give practical demonstrations. The two days will be a celebration of the company’s achievements in the last 18 months, and demonstrate how to do things differently when you have the necessary skills, experience and imagination.
One highlight will be a street party featuring top street artists, with delicious food and drink to get the creative juices flowing. A series of breakout events will showcase some great people and ideas, demonstrating what make Schibsted such a unique and creative organisation.
The REBOOT also includes a keynote from Nicholas Negroponte, One Laptop Per Child co-founder, MIT Media Lab creator, angel investor and author of the bestselling Being Digital.
Rian Liebenberg, Schibsted CTO, wants everyone at the company to feel involved with the REBOOT, telling us, “Barcelona is a fantastic opportunity for people from all across the organisation to share knowledge and ideas with each other – I’m expecting great things to come from the event, both during and after.”
Terje Seljeseth, Schibsted CPO, was equally enthusiastic. “REBOOT is about bringing the company together,” he told us, “Proving that together we’re stronger, and all of us are working towards the same goal: making Schibsted a key player in the future of media and technology.”
The whole 48 hours will be live tweeted on Twitter using the hashtag #schREBOOT, and posted across Facebook.
