Bergens Tidende is Norway's fourth largest newspaper, and the country's largest newspaper outside Oslo with 226,000 daily readers and 83,000 subscribers.

Award winning investigative journalism

In 2024 BT won the SKUP diploma for “Tre skudd i Ibsens gate”, Norways most prestigious journalism award.

Best in show

BT won the prestigious best in show at the annual INMA world congress 2023.

Successful podcasts

BT produces several successful podcasts, including the sports podcast “Ballspark”, political podcast “Nokon må gå” and “Knut løper”.

More digital subscribes

BT's goal is to have 100,000 daily active subscribers at the end of 2025.

Our history

Bergens Tidende is the leading Norwegian media house outside Oslo, and the fourth largest newspaper in Norway. BT has around 226,700 daily readers in print and online. The editor-in-chief since 2024 is Trond Olav Skrunes.
